Market Update - November 15, 2012

Posted on Nov 15, 2012
CBOT futures are trading mixed with the old/new crop price spreads reversing some of Wednesday’s action.  There’s little to drive the markets today with the outside markets near steady.  Fund selling is probably minimal today with prices still sitting above key chart levels.

Cattle futures are also sitting narrowly mixed in slow trading ahead of Friday’s Cattle on Feed report and next week’s shortened Thanksgiving trade.

Lean Hog futures opened lower but have rallied through the morning to stay within yesterday’s trading range.

US equity markets are at the day’s lows.    Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Jump 78,000 to 439,000; Labor Dept. Cites Super Storm Sandy; CPI Rises 0.1%
