Community Focus - American Farm Bureau Women's Conference in Las Vegas

The Women’s Leadership Conference is held in different areas across the United States. This year it was in Las Vegas, Nevada. This conference provided an excellent opportunity for women to develop and refine valuable leadership skills which can be used to advance local and state programs. In addition, event participants enjoyed the unique opportunity to network with other women who are involved in agriculture throughout the United States.
Conference workshops included Social Media, Business Planning, Policy Development, Starting the Dialogue by US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.
There was a silent Auction to benefit the White-Reinhardt Fund for Education and several tours of farms, winery’s, Springs Preserve and Hoover Dam.
The Kentucky delegation of about 70 ladies from across the state included Jackson county representatives, Phyllis Purvis, Jackson County Women’s Committee Chairperson and Brenda Ayers, Jackson County Farm Bureau Agency Manager.
