The mission of the Kingdom Come Swappin' Meetin' Festival is to promote and preserve the diverse cultural heritage of our Appalachian region through the presentation of music, crafts, visual arts, theatre, folk competitions, games and folklife demonstrations.
The Kingdom Come Swappin' Meetin' is the annual festival held at Southeast Community College in Cumberland, Kentucky on the first weekend in October. The festival was the idea of Betty Gerlach, former music instructor, and with the support of the SECC Faculty/Staff and Administration has become one of the region's most popular fall festivals.
