This contest is designed as an opportunity for those who are involved in agriculture, but have other full-time occupations. Contestants will be judged on their involvement in agriculture, leadership ability and participation in Farm Bureau and other organizations (i.e. civic, service, and community). Applicants should have an interest in farming, agriculture education, extension, or the agriculture industry. There can only be ONE applicant per county.

The Excellence in Agriculture Contest is based on two parts. First, the participants must complete the application, have it signed by their county Farm Bureau President, and must be received by the deadline of October 11, 2019. After sending the application, each contestant should prepare a Microsoft PowerPoint or Prezi presentation to be given before a three-judge panel on, November 9, 2019 at the Kentucky Farm Bureau State Office. Contestants selected as the top three finalists will then give their presentations to a separate panel of judges on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the Kentucky Farm Bureau State Annual Meeting.
