Washing and Storage Tips

Place asparagus in a colander and rinse under cool water. Snapping off the woody end of the stalk is sometimes necessary. Store asparagus like cut flowers. After washing and trimming, place in a jar or cup with a few inches of water or wrapped in a damp paper towel and keep in the fridge. Asparagus can last for over a week.
