Young Farmer Futures Seminar
March 19-21, 2015
For the past 14 years, Kentucky Farm Bureau has provided an opportunity for young farmers to learn how to manage the risks associated with farming by offering a Young Farmer Futures Seminar. This workshop is designed to help participants gain a better understanding of the futures markets and learn how to effectively utilize them in their farming operations.
On March 19-21, 2015, we will again be sponsoring a KFB Young Farmer Futures Seminar. All attendees will room with another person for the duration of this trip and have the option to stay in a hotel in Louisville on Wednesday, March 18th. The next morning, the group will travel by charter bus to Chicago. The tentative agenda is enclosed.
The 2015 Young Farmer Futures Seminar is limited to the first 30 farmers (between the ages of 18-45) who register by the deadline of Friday, March 6th. The total cost of the seminar is $450.00 per person and counties are limited to no more than four (4) participants. Please be sure to check with your County Farm Bureau office before registering online. Registration will be available beginning at noon on Monday, February 2nd at www.kyfb.com/futures. Selected participants will be emailed additional information as the departure date draws closer.
This is a great opportunity for young farmers from Kentucky to gain valuable insight about futures trading and get a glimpse of the markets up close. For additional information, please feel free to contact me at (502) 495-5000 ext. 7221 or via email at Scott.Christmas@kyfb.com.
