Leadership Elected for Kentucky Farm Bureau's "Generation Bridge Committee"

Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) has released the names of individuals elected to lead its new initiative, Generation Bridge. Amanda Gajdzik of Shelby County has been elected chair, Tammy White of Union County is vice chair, and Sarah Beth Guffey from Clinton County is secretary of this newly formed committee.

Despite a rainy day, Montgomery County Farm Bureau (MCFB) members followed through with their plans to get nutritious food in the hands of the community through two special events. First, by way of the Farmers to Families Food Box initiative, which began thanks to the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). The other was through the purchase of a local steer which was processed into hamburger and given to the local food bank coalition.

CBOT futures closed strongly higher but far off the day’s highs which were set by 9 am CT.  Cattle futures closed higher on strength in the boxed beef market. Lean hog futures closed sharply higher in follow-through buying to yesterday’s gains.
