Caleb and Leanne Ragland of LaRue County won a top honor during the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) virtual convention today, being named winners of the Young Farmers & Ranchers “Achievement Award.”

Pulaski County farmer Mark Haney was re-elected Kentucky Farm Bureau President on the concluding day of the organization’s 101st annual meeting. Also re-elected were Webster County’s Eddie Melton as First Vice President and Sharon Furches of Calloway County as Second Vice President.

Corn and soybean futures closed higher despite no positive export sales announcements this morning. Cattle futures closed lower across the board with bigger losses in the more nearby contracts. Lean hog futures closed lower and near the day’s lows.
