Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler announced the appointment of Kentucky Farm Bureau Second Vice President Sharon Furches to the Farm, Ranch, and Rural Communities Committee (FRRCC).

CBOT futures closed mostly steady to sharply lower (wheat, oats, rice). Cattle futures closed higher in narrow ranges with feeders posting the biggest gains.  Lean hog futures closed sharply lower and near the day’s lows.

CBOT futures closed narrowly mixed with futures settling closer to the day’s highs than the lows. Cattle futures closed mostly higher after opening lower in sympathy with the sharp drop in U.S. equity markets on concerns that COVID cases are rising. Lean Hog futures closed slightly higher after opening lower like most ag futures did.
