North American International Livestock Exposition Approved to Hold 2020 Show

The North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) was approved through the Kentucky Healthy at Work initiative to host a modified show this year. NAILE is the largest all-breed, purebred livestock exposition in the world and runs Nov. 3-19, 2020 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

CBOT futures closed mostly narrowly mixed despite some positive export sales data.  Cattle futures closed higher with bigger gains in the feeders. Lean hog futures closed sharply lower with October and December LH falling well below the lows maintained during recent weeks.

CBOT futures closed sharply lower with soybean meal leading the way down.  Cattle futures closed higher after Monday’s sharp losses which looked bearish on the charts. Lean hog futures closed narrowly mixed with August and October down slightly.

Corn and soybean futures ended steady while wheat futures dropped sharply.  Cattle futures closed lower with feeders posting big losses in the Aug/Sep/Oct FC contracts.  Lean Hog futures closed mixed – higher in the Aug/Oct contracts and lower in the deferred ones.
