It goes without saying, but the coronavirus pandemic has made the world we live in look very different than it did just a few months ago. We have had to learn to work remotely, meet virtually, and stay six feet apart from one another.

CBOT futures closed mostly higher by small amounts. Cattle futures closed mixed with the 2020 contracts mostly lower. Lean hog futures closed sharply lower and generally within 50 cents of the day’s lows. Milk futures closed higher for the second straight day with the June Milk contract $3.00/cwt above its April lows.

CBOT futures closed mixed as traders worry tensions between the U.S. and China over COVID could threaten exports. Cattle futures closed slightly higher but in the bottom half of the range.  Lean hog futures closed higher to sharply higher.
