Organizations with a history of support are a staple of the agriculture industry. This staple has been present in Kentucky agriculture and present in my own development. The support of these organizations is far reaching and effective on an individual level, but in the form of partnerships a new level of impact is attained.

As Kentucky Farm Bureau's Centennial Year came to a close in 2019, the Vision 100 Committee was created at the direction of KFB President Mark Haney. This committee, comprised of KFB volunteer leaders from the local level, as well as staff from both the Federation and the Insurance Company, was convened to help guide strategic planning for the future of the entire organization.

Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles has proclaimed Sept.19-25 as Farm Safety and Health Week in Kentucky to encourage farmers and farm workers to put their health and safety first at all times. The theme for this year's safety week is "Farm Safety Yields Real Results."

Market Closes - September 15, 2021

CBOT futures mostly closed strongly higher and near the day's highs. Corn led the rally with strong follow-through buying to Tuesday's rally. Live cattle closed slightly lower with bigger losses in the feeder futures due to higher corn prices. Lean hog futures were down slightly except for nearby October LH which closed up 1.90 at 82.27.
