Zach Heibert of Hardin County Named 2022 Kentucky Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award Recipient
Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) announced today that Zach Heibert of Hardin County is the 2022 KFB Excellence in Agriculture award recipient.
CBOT futures closed widely mixed today with old-crop corn and soybeans losing ground to new-crop contracts. Live cattle closed slightly lower and feeder futures were higher beyond the nearby April FC contract which expired today. Lean hog futures closed higher beyond the nearby May LH.
KFB's Jeff Harper says agriculture fared well in this round of the Kentucky General Assembly.
CBOT futures closes widely mixed, even within the soy complex. Live cattle closed higher while feeder futures finished in the red, pressured by higher corn prices. Lean hog futures closed sharply lower for a second day in a row.
CBOT futures closed mixed with some pretty wide trading ranges on early weakness and late strength. Cattle futures closed strongly lower with nearby Live Cattle futures down sharply – over $3.00/cwt. Lean hog futures closed sharply lower, pressured by the Live Cattle market and growing frozen pork supplies as China becomes less of a buyer.
