Morgan Askins, Miss Rodeo Kentucky 2022

On a colder than normal April afternoon, Morgan Askins is unloading her two quarter horses at the Shelby County Fairgrounds as she prepares to be the flag bearer for the weekend’s Kentuckiana Ranch Horse Association (KRHA) event. She gets her horses settled and prepares for the next day’s activities.

CBOT futures closed mixed with wheat leading the way higher, followed by new-crop corn futures. Live cattle closed lower and feeder futures ended sharply lower due to the sharp corn rally. Lean hog futures closed lower to sharply lower as futures continue the downtrend.

CBOT futures closed strongly higher with spring wheat and soybean oil futures leading the way. Live cattle futures closed higher while feeders lost ground due to the CBOT rally. Lean hog futures closed lower for the third or fourth day out of the past four depending on the contract.
