We conducted a membership drive in conjunction with our safety day program. We had giveaways and refreshments for both children and adults. We had approximately 200 to attend.

Carter County celebrated National Ag Day by purchasing 8 “BEE” books. This was this year’s theme. The committee read the books at our county elementary schools and gave the children Honey Graham crackers and honey straws. The books were then donated to the school libraries.

Carter County Farm Bureau celebrated Farm/City Day at our local farm supply November 23, 2013. We had approximately 150 people to attend. Everyone enjoyed lunch consisting of hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink. We also gave out giveaways and door prizes.

Carter County Farm Bureau collected can foods for the local Food Pantry and passed out brochures explaining Food Check-Out week. We presented the food collected and a cash donation from our Women’s Committee November 23, 2013 to the Food pantry.

Carter County Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer Committee held a Kid’s Ag Day Sept.24, 2013. The event was held at Kees Farm Service. There were over 100 kids registered. The Carter County Women’s Committee helped passing out coloring books and crayons. The activities included Tricycle races, tractor pulls, ice cream making, tattoos and farm animals to pet.

Carter County Farm Bureau Women's Committee celebrated AG Day March 23rd at Kees Farm Supply. District 10 Young Farmer Chairman, Jason McGlone and his wife Hannah are the new owners of the farm supply and also had their Grand Opening that day.

Carter County Farm Bureau Women's Committee observed Food Check-out by making a $150.00 donation to our local food pantry. The food pantry serves approximately 250 families per month.

Senator Webb gave a very interesting and informative discussion about Agriculture and her support of the Agriculture programs.
