Annual Historic Burlington Hometown Christmas/Christmas In The Country takes place again this year on the first weekend of December.
Events begin with the arrival of Santa Claus to light the Courthouse Christmas Tree on Friday December 2nd. at 6:30 p.m. at the Gazebo next to the Old Courthouse.
Prior to that Linnemann Funeral Homes will again sponsor Hot Chocolate and Donuts near the rear Entrance of the Old Courthouse for everyone there.
And prior to that the Burlington Baptist Living nativity will open at 5:00 p.m. on the Church's corner lot at Washington and Jefferson Streets. 5:00 is also opening of the Gingerbread House display inside the Old Courthouse.
Saturday are even more events including a "Santa Paws" Pet Parade at 1:00 p.m. sponsored by Friends of our Animal Shelter, cookie decorating at Washington Street Cafe,. Historic Dancers and Candlelight Tours at Dinsmore Homestead at 7:00 p.m., and so forth.
In addition Mike Crane will have his operating Lionel train layout at the Farm Bureau Insurance Office from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Annual Customer Appreciation Day

Customers of the Burlington Agency of KY Farm Bureau are invited to the office to allow Mike Crane and his Agency Team to show their appreciation for your business.
There will be our usual "goody bag gifts" for adult customers of the agency, candy canes for the children, door prizes, Beth's famous homemade cookies, and Mike's Operating Lionel Train Layout.
Come join us on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The layout will also be open on Saturday December 3rd from 10:00 to 4:00 in conjunction with the Historic Burlington Hometown Christmas/Christmas in the Country Event.

Enjoy a Summer Concert, New Orleans style, at the Historic Dinsmore Homestead just a short 6 miles west of Downtown Burlington on KY State Route 18. Concert by Robin Lacey & DeZydeco and featuring Cajun food prepared by Don and Edie Atttebery. Hot dogs, snacks, desserts and cash bar are also available. Fun for the whole family from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on June 4, 2011. Admission $10 in advance or $12 at the gate.
