Community Focus - Scholarship Winners

Barren County Farm Bureau Federation has announced the recipients of their scholarships for 2013. These $500 scholarships are offered each year, a male and female student graduating from High School and entering College in the fall, also a scholarship is given to male and female student already attending college. These students are required to go into some form of Agriculture.
The recipient of the High School scholarship is Trevor Baise son of Phillip and Becky Baise of Glasgow, he is a 2013 graduate of Barren County High School and plans on attending Western Kentucky University to study general agriculture. Trevor said his chosen career was agriculture.
There was no female applicant this year.
The female recipient of the college scholarship was Megan Fields of Barren County, she is a Junior at Western Kentucky University where here chosen field is animal science. Megan is the daughter of Daryl and Jennifer Fields of Glasgow.
Corey Wooten received the second college scholarship, he is a senior at the University of Louisville where he is studying engineering, he hope to use his degree in the Agriculture Field. Corey is a graduate of Glasgow High School.
