Logan County Farm Bureau Recognized at Kentucky Farm Bureau's 104th Annual Meeting


Logan County Farm Bureau members attended the 104th Kentucky Farm Bureau Annual Meeting at the Galt House in Louisville, November 29 - December 2, 2023.
During the meeting, Logan County Farm Bureau received a Gold Star Award of Excellence for its Women’s Committee, co-chaired by Catherine Poole & Karen Milliken. The women’s committees from all Kentucky counties donated close to $8,000 to support Ronald McDonald Charities.
Logan County received a Pacesetter Award for meeting county membership quota, and Logan County Farm Bureau President Grant Hildabrand was awarded a Farm Bureau vest and state annual meeting expense reimbursement.
Eddie Melton from Webster County was elected President of Kentucky Farm Bureau. Shane Wiseman from Clark County was elected 1st Vice President, and Larry Clark from Green County was elected 2nd Vice President.

The 61st Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Country Ham Breakfast and Charity Auction at the Kentucky State Fair brought in a combined winning bid of $10 million in support of Kentucky charities, continuing the longstanding tradition of generosity that has made this event one of the commonwealth’s most anticipated gatherings.

In 1994, Kentucky tobacco producers grew 187,000 acres of tobacco, weighing in at over 453 million pounds and worth nearly $841 billion. That was 10 years before the Fair and Equitable Tobacco Reform Act eliminated an antiquated tobacco quota system that had been in place since 1938.
