FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
Chad R. Aull, a Daviess County native, has been named director
of national affairs and political education for the Kentucky Farm Bureau
Federation.
The announcement was made by David S. Beck, executive vice president of
Kentucky Farm Bureau. Aull’s appointment is effective September
27.
In his new position, Aull will analyze federal agricultural issues affecting
Kentucky farmers, and work with the state’s Congressional delegation
to implement Farm Bureau policy on important legislative and regulatory
matters.
He will also work with county Farm Bureaus in building effective political
education and action programs, including training activities designed
for Farm Bureau’s volunteer leaders and candidates for public office.
Beck said that Aull’s appointment underscores the impact of federal
legislative and regulatory activities on Kentucky agriculture.
“Everyday the federal government takes actions which affect the
ability of Kentucky farmers to be successful in their profession,”
Beck noted. “I am convinced that Mr. Aull will be able to help us
address these critical issues successfully, and will work with all sectors
of Kentucky agriculture to make sure farmers’ voices are heard.”
Aull, who was raised on a beef cattle farm near Philpot, is pursuing a
B.S. degree in agricultural education from Western Kentucky University.
He has been active in FFA, serving in 2000 as state vice president, and
in FarmHouse fraternity as chapter president.
Aull worked for three years as an intern for radio station WBKR-FM in
Owensboro, where he helped produce farm market reports and research ag-related
news stories.
