Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance and Kentucky Cattlemen’s
Association purchased the Kentucky State Fair Reserve Grand Champion Steer
for $20,000.
The steer, a 1,294-pound Simmental cross, was exhibited by Taylor Stevenson-Tolle
at the Sale of Champions.
Taylor is a member of the Spencer County 4-H and FFA. She also enjoys
dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, riding bikes and painting. She is the
daughter of Marc Renee and Brent Tolle.
The Sale of Champions auctioned six animals, including steers, hogs and
market lambs, raising a total of $100,000.
Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance and Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association
will donate the proceeds of the Grand Champion Steer purchase to the 4-H
and FFA organizations.
