RELEASE
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Three staff appointments
in Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Communication Division have been announced
by Farm Bureau Executive Vice President David S. Beck.
The appointments are effective July 19.
Rachael Kamuf has been named Publications Director, and
will oversee the production of a broad range of membership and internal
publications for Farm Bureau. They include All Around Kentucky and Kentucky
Farm Bureau News, which are mailed periodically to Farm Bureau members
in Kentucky, as well as publications produced for employees and sales
personnel.
Kamuf is a veteran journalist, with more than 25 years
experience in weekly, business and alternative publications. She was a
reporter for Business First for 16 years, and for three years served as
managing editor of the Louisville Eccentric Observer. She also worked
for Associated Press and co-owned a weekly newspaper in Eastern Kentucky.
Roger Nesbitt, who has worked since 1995 as news services
director for Farm Bureau, has been named assistant publications director.
Nesbitt served for seven years as communication director
for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, and he also worked as a reporter
for The Courier-Journal and the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Terri Bradshaw has been named to the position of public
relations director, where she will develop and administer public relations
and media relations programs for Farm Bureau’s organizational and
commercial services activities.
Bradshaw served for three years as director of marketing
and communication for the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. She
is a former executive director of the Kentucky Industrial Development
Council and held the same post with the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce.
Beck said the appointments represent the final phase of
expansion for Farm Bureau’s Communication Division, which last year
was assigned responsibility for managing member communication, public
relations and advertising programs for Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation
and Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance.
“We now have a full complement of professional journalists
and communication specialists on staff to support our organization’s
activities,” Beck said. “Communication is critical to our
success on public policy issues and in the commercial sector, and I’m
confident we’re making a sound investment in our future.”
In addition to publications and public relations, Farm
Bureau’s Communication Division manages advertising, web content,
broadcast services and video production.
Kentucky Farm Bureau is the state’s largest membership
organization, representing more than 440,000 families. Kentucky Farm Bureau
Insurance is Kentucky’s largest property and casualty insurance
company, with offices and agents in all 120 counties.
