   LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, August 30, 2006: Allen County ‘s depiction of local industries and attractions was named winner of the 2006 Pride of the Counties of the Commonwealth (PCC) Award on Farm Bureau Day at the Kentucky State Fair.
   The county’s exhibit was judged best based on overall effectiveness, quality and appropriateness of the display, clarity of the message, creativity and professionalism.
   Fifty exhibits represented 68 counties in the 21st year of the Pride of the Counties exhibition. The exhibits covered nearly 20,000 square feet in the South Wing and displayed historic objects, artwork, crafts and photographs, along with many other items that promoted each community.
   Pride of the Counties, sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Companies, is a unique opportunity to showcase each county to a captive audience of more than 600,000 people during the eleven days of the State Fair.
