Food Price Increases

The topic of food price increases and their linkage to fuel costs and ethanol production is dominating much current news coverage, both in Kentucky and nationally. Much of that discussion in the media is driven by various political agendas and seems more focused on placing blame than in getting to the facts.

It is important that all of us in leadership positions for Farm Bureau be armed with factual information that can be used when discussions of these issues arise, whether in casual conversation or through local media. To provide this information, we have compiled a list of talking points that cover a variety of issues relevant to the current food-fuel-farm price agenda.
