| Kentucky Farm Bureau offeres an Outstanding Youth and
Variety Contest that is held at their State Convention each year in December.
These contestants compete for a variety of awards and prizes. Each county
in the state is responsible for selecting one boy and one girl for the
Outstanding Youth Program. These students will compete at a district contest
and the winners from the district contest will go on to compete at the
State Convention. Participants must be between the ages of 15-19 years
old and they must be a member of the county Farm Bureau that they are
representing. They must prepare and deliver a 2-minute speech relating
to Agriculture or Farm Bureau. For an Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth application, click here.
Variety contestants must be between the ages of 6 and 19 years old and
a member of the Farm Bureau as well. The variety act can be a vocal, instrumental,
dance or drama. Click here for a Variety Contest application.
