The
AARP 55 Alive Senior Driver Course is offered at different times
throughout the year and is instructed by Boone County Farm Bureau
President Bob Maurer. It is ideal that we have at least 10 attendees
and more can be accomodated. The course is usually offered in the
Burlington area. It is held at various times - either an all day
class or two half day classes.
You do not need to be a member to sign up for the class.
Once the class is completed, a certificate is presented to those
that participated. This certificate may make you eligible for a
discount on your vehicle insurance as long as you are 55 or older.
Check with your insurance agent to see if you are eligible for this
discount.
The last 55 Alive Senior Driver Class was held at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 and was an 8 hour course. The course was held at the Boone County Extension center located at the corner of KY 18 (Burlington Pike) and KY 237 (Camp Ernst Road) and had about 16 attendees. The next class has not yet been scheduled but anyone interested in attending should call 859-586-6142 to be added to the reservations list. You can also call this number is you just have questions about the course. Please ask for Bettie Riley, our Federation County Office.
